The candidates
Since the launch of our call for candidates for the Europeana Network Association (ENA) Members Council we have been inviting ENA Members to put their names forward for election to the Council which shapes our network’s strategic direction.
We are now delighted to introduce the 51 members who are running for the 27 available seats on the Council. Candidates’ profiles span a variety of sectors, organisations and professions, and their wide range of interests and expertise will allow us to select the very best representatives for ENA members for the coming three years. Each candidate has put forward focus areas, interests and ambitions that they wish to work on as Councillors in relation to the ENA and its Communities, Task Forces and Working Groups and Country Groups.

Next steps
Candidates will now be seeking your support for election to the Members Council and sharing their ideas and vision for the Network. We invite you to follow their campaigns on X (under the hashtag #EuropeanaElects), as well as in the Europeana LinkedIn group.
Voting will officially be opened on 13 November 2024 at the ENA General Assembly, an event exclusively for existing ENA Members. The General Assembly will offer an inspiring overview of highlights from ENA’s work over the last year alongside insights into its strategy and plans for 2025, and launch the Members Council election - register for the event today.
Once the elections are launched at the Assembly, Members will have one week (until 20 November) to select their preferred candidates in the online voting. Results will be announced later in November.
How to vote
All ENA members who joined before 1 October 2024 can vote in the elections, and you will receive an email with full details.
If you are not yet a Member, but would like to vote in future elections, as well as access a range of other benefits and the latest news in digital cultural heritage, join the ENA today! You can also learn more about the ENA at the Network’s Outreach Event, which follows the General Assembly on 13 November and is open to all.
We wish all the candidates the best of luck and look forward to the election of a dedicated Members Council to lead the ENA as it continues to evolve!
