Olushola Olaniyan
He's a social entrepreneur and open-knowledge advocate and President of Wikimedia User Group Nigeria. Since joining the Wikimedia movement in 2014, he's helped to advance open knowledge in Africa. He led efforts to preserve the oral history of over 200 indigenous languages in Nigeria. He worked as a member of the Partnership Working Group of Wikimedia 2030 strategy. A former member of the Affiliation Committee, he helped regulate Wikimedia affiliates globally. He contributed to the Wikimedia African Journalism Award, motivating 2,000+ journalists to enrich African content online.

I bring expertise in cultural preservation and open knowledge to ENA. With experience documenting Indigenous languages and leading heritage initiatives, I'll promote equitable data access and cross-cultural collaboration. I’ll focus on digitization & inclusive innovation etc.
I will drive local and regional collaborations, promote digitization, and advocate for open access to cultural heritage. I’ll engage stakeholders, build partnerships, and raise awareness to ensure the common European data space benefits diverse communities while supporting ENA’s goals in my region.
