Reasons to join the Europeana Network Association
The Europeana Network Association is a dedicated group of 2,000+ experts united by a shared mission to expand and improve access to Europe's digital cultural heritage.
Together, we aim to create a ‘network of networks’ by harnessing the power of our members and bringing their collective knowledge and know-how into play. We believe we can mobilise the cultural community across Europe to help uphold our shared values through positive action and forward motion.
As a Network member, you contribute to putting into practice the Europeana Strategy, which focuses on three powerful priorities designed to unlock culture and create positive change across Europe and the world:
Make it easy and rewarding for cultural heritage institutions to share high-quality content
Scale with partners to reach our target markets and audiences
Engage people on our websites and via participatory campaigns
But there is much more than that! As a member you can:
Actively shape the future of our sector and digital practice by influencing policymakers' decisions on issues that concern us all, such as copyright or multilingualism.
Influence how the Europeana initiative is run and involve policymakers and politicians for a sustainable future of our sector.
Take part in the Europeana Network Association yearly Members Council elections - or even come forward as a candidate.
Participate in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) at which Network members discuss matters of mutual interest and make decisions about the future of the Network.
Stay up-to-date with Europeana's latest developments through a monthly Network Association newsletter, and through updates from our communities.
'I believe in a 'hands-on’ approach to change. Through our joint efforts, this network can contribute to a more culturally reflective and rich society' - Merete Sanderhoff, Chair of the Europeana Network Association
