Europeana Generic Service projects support cultural heritage institutions with their digital transformation and aim to increase the amount of high-quality content and metadata provided to Europeana. Projects work to raise awareness of Europeana and improve user experience of the platform.

Europeana Translate aims to build connections between the Europeana and Automated Translation Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs) to improve the usability of heritage resources by translating the metadata of more than 25 million records available on Europeana.

Europeana Subtitled

Europeana Subtitled aims to enable audiovisual media heritage to be enjoyed by professional and non-professional audiences as well as to increase its use through closed captioning and subtitling.

Europeana XX

Europeana XX aims to engage with audiences across Europe by bringing the 20th century and its social, political and economical changes as documented in photographs, videos, paintings and files.

Europeana Common Culture contributed to the development of a harmonised and sustainable data aggregation infrastructure in Europe, improved data quality and encouraged engagement with cultural heritage through the Europeana website.
