Europeana Playbook

Welcome to the Europeana Playbook. And if you’re new to Europeana: a very warm welcome indeed!

  • If you’re a member of staff at the Europeana Foundation, this Playbook should help you learn about how and why we do what we do, so that you can do it too.
  • If you work with Europeana as a partner or a member of the Europeana Network Association, or if you’re simply interested in the ins and outs of Europeana’s working, or the systems and principles we follow, we hope this Playbook answers your questions. Some of the links might not work for you, that’s because they lead to documents that are for staff use only - we hope you understand.

If you’ve got any questions, ask somebody - anybody. The person next to you, your manager, or our directors.

Decision-making

Decision-making

A decision is about making choices, it is the cut-off point between the process of thinking and the process of action. In order to make a decision, you first need to clearly decide what to decide - you need to recognise and define the problem or opportunity.
