Ylva has spent most of her working life focussing on the use and creation of digital resources for research and teaching. Based at the IT Services, University of Oxford, she has had the privilege to work on numerous projects and services, often in the area of Digital Humanities, data management and preservation. She has been involved in a number of initiatives which use crowdsourcing to collect material for digital collections. One such project is Europeana 1914-1918, where stories and memorabilia related to the First World War were collected and made widely available through Europeana.
