Unchartered Territoryis a special session at THE ARTS+ Salon on 11 October (10:30am-12:00pm), as part of the Frankfurt Book Fair. It will focus on what the cultural sector and publishers can learn from thought leaders and pioneers about fitting digital into their strategy. The speakers are from world-renowned cultural heritage institutions and will discuss digital transformation in museums and libraries with journalist Michael Gubbins (Sampomedia).
From 1-31 October, all GIF-makers, history nuts, cultural heritage enthusiasts and lovers of the internet are invited to take part in the fourth annual GIF IT UP competition.
Europeana is the European digital platform for cultural heritage. CLARIN has been involved as a partner in Europeana's Digital Service Infrastructure (DSI) from the start of this project in April 2015. During DSI-2, the recently completed second iteration of this project, CLARIN established an integration of Europeana data into its infrastructure.
Europeana Research continues to expand, providing the best quality datasets from Europeana partners to researchers. These datasets are chosen for their value to researchers in terms of depth, subject matter, and having licenses that make them usable in research. Recently five datasets were added to the Europeana Research collection, four digital collections from European libraries and The European Library Open Dataset.
