Marco Rendina

Managing Director European Fashion Heritage Association Italy GLAM

Marco Rendina is the chair of the Europeana Aggregators Forum.
He is a senior project manager and IT specialist, he has focused his activity mainly on the different aspects of the digitisation of historical and audiovisual archives, from metadata standards to database design and information retrieval techniques. Since 2000 he has worked in several eContentplus, ICT-PSP, FP7 and H2020 projects, like VideoActive, European Film Gateway, EUscreen, EuscreenXL, VidiVideo, HOPE, Presto4U, Europeana Space, eCloud, Mecanex and Europeana Fashion. He is member of the Italian Organization for Standardization Working Group on Cinematographic Works (UNI GL6) and deputy member for Italy of the European Committee for Standardization – Technical Committee (CEN/TC 372) on Cinematographic Works, where he has been one of the editors of the EN 15907 standards on “Film identification – Enhancing interoperability of metadata – Element sets and structure”. He is the co-founder and technical director of the Europeana Fashion International Association, Board member of the EUscreen Foundation and of the Jewish Heritage Network Foundation.
