Senior Lecturer, Manager of European Projects The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust United Kingdom Cultural Heritage

Lisa Peter is Senior Lecturer in Shakespeare Studies at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, with a special focus on international audiences and projects. She teaches Shakespeare to school groups, university student and adult learners at the Shakespeare Centre, and she is responsible for language learner programmes and teacher training sessions for English teachers from around the world.

Lisa has also a track record in successful collaboration and project management: for the Shakespeare anniversary year 2016 she co-developed the Massive Open Online Course Exploring English: Shakespeare together with the British Council, contributed to the BBC Learning English series Shakespeare Speaks and she has written study guides for Digital Theatre Plus. Since September 2016, she has been the Trust’s project lead for the ErasmusPlus funded project CultureShake, a transnational and multilingual learning project. Lisa regularly speaks at universities and at international conferences on the topic of teaching Shakespeare to language learners.
