Aleksandar Zarić is an international development, policy and digital transformation expert with more than twenty years of experience supporting governments, international organizations, development finance institutions and the private sector across the Western Balkans and beyond. His work has focused on digital transformation, economic development, regulatory reform, innovation ecosystems, access to finance, and European integration through projects financed by organizations such as the World Bank Group, IFC, USAID, GIZ, UNDP and EBRD.

In recent years, Aleksandar has increasingly focused on the intersection of culture, digital technologies and public policy. He is currently supporting initiatives related to the digital transformation of the cultural and creative sectors, digital cultural heritage, cultural diplomacy, biodiversity, and cross-border cooperation. He is particularly interested in exploring how emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, digital platforms and data spaces can strengthen access to, preservation and promotion of Europe's cultural heritage.

Through the Europeana Network Association, Aleksandar hopes to connect with professionals and organizations working across digital cultural heritage, innovation, research and public policy, contribute to knowledge exchange between the European Union and the Western Balkans, and support collaborative initiatives that promote sustainable, inclusive and digitally enabled cultural heritage.
