When starting a 3D scanning project, it is important to ensure that the final product is adapted to the needs of users. In this workshop, Giravolt will review the selection of materials or spaces to digitise, available technologies and their advantages, the qualities and limitations offered by each of them and the final products. Participants will learn all the relevant aspects to take into account before starting a 3D scanning project and discover a basic guide to making informed decisions on which technologies and types of assignments best fit their objectives.

This workshop is open to onsite participants in Pamplona, and is organised in addition to the programme of the Spanish Presidency Europeana conference. A second workshop - Built with Bits: Designing virtual spaces for social impact - will follow this.
