Digital Spring Programme 2021: Sport & Cultural Heritage

During this session we will present the Europeana Sport project to the wider community and bridge the divide between sport and culture and showcase that sport can bring us together as an essential part of our shared cultural heritage.

We will do so in an interactive 30-minute session where you will hear from three project partners (Nienke van Schaverbeke, Sound & Vision, Graeme Hawley, National Library of Scotland and Nathan Mannion, EPIC) about their motivations, passion for their digitised sports collections and engaging audiences with digital cultural heritage.

In addition Europeana Foundation representatives (Adrian Murphy & Ad Pollé), will be present to answer any questions about the Sport season for Europeana and to sketch the wider pan-European context of the campaign in terms of user-generated content, participatory events and editorial.
