We are happy to announce the results of the 2021 Europeana Network Association (ENA) Members Council elections. Of the 73 candidates who came forward in this year’s elections, our Network Members chose 27 of them to fill the open seats in the Members Council. Read on to meet the Councillors!
The Europeana Foundation, the Europeana Network Association and the Europeana Aggregators' Forum have agreed to advocate for and embed working practices that minimise the digital cultural heritage sector’s impact on the climate and environment.
As we continue our focus on stories, projects and collections which highlight Black history in Europe and beyond, we interview Jessica de Abreu, co-founder of The Black Archives Amsterdam, and production assistant Camille Parker. They tell us about the Archive’s work and approach to digitisation and reflect on the importance of making Black history visible.

A Subtitle-a-thon is a crowdsourcing initiative which invites the public to create and add subtitles to archival audiovisual clips from European heritage collections available on the Europeana website. We share how this tool can be used by educators to help students engage with and explore audiovisual heritage.
