EuropeanaTech 2023 - Explore, Engage, Experience: cultural heritage in the data space and beyond
The annual Europeana conference is the leading event in the world of digital cultural heritage, and this year, we are delighted to put the focus on all things tech for EuropeanaTech 2023 - Explore, Engage, Experience: cultural heritage in the data space and beyond.
Ticket sales are now open, and with a hybrid conference, you can choose to register to attend online for free or buy a ticket to attend onsite.
There are a variety of pricing options available, but Europeana, working with ESACH, is also delighted to be able to offer five bursaries to support students and new professionals to attend the conference onsite, with the aim of enabling those who would not otherwise be able to join us in The Hague.
What does the bursary cover?
Anyone who is a current ESACH member is welcome to apply for the bursary, which offers a free ticket to attend EuropeanaTech onsite in The Hague and pre-paid accommodation for two nights of the conference.
The bursary also offers reimbursement for travel expenses up to a total of 300 euros. To receive this reimbursement, recipients will have to sign in on all three days of the conference and submit a claim form with evidence of their travel (including receipts and tickets).
We may also ask recipients to take part in a short focus group after the conference to hear about their experiences and explore what else Europeana could do to support new professionals at their conferences; we will also ask you to contribute to a piece of editorial after the conference about your experience.
How do you apply?
To apply for the bursary, please send an email to [email protected] with answers to the following questions:
Where are you based and what is your background (BA student, MA student, PhD student, working professional)
Have you already attended a Europeana conference? Were you previously awarded a bursary?
Please let us know why you would like to attend EuropeanaTech 2023 and what you would like to get out of it.
What is the thing that you are most looking forward to and why?
Fast forward five years - what do you want your lasting memory of attending EuropeanaTech 2023 to be?
Why are you interested in digital cultural heritage?
