Yumeng Hou is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. She conducts research at the intersections of computation, visualization, digital curation, and cultural archives, exploring how the amalgamation of curatorial thinking and data science methods can enhance the conservation, transmission, and transformation of traditional practices and performing arts. Yumeng earned her PhD from EPFL, Switzerland, with a dissertation on embodied knowledge encoding, digital humanities, and computational cultural archives. Beyond academia, she has professional experience in cloud media solutions, digitization, and creative technologies for museums.
