Introduction to Europeana APIs

This training course - run as part of Europeana Academy - will run in October 2024 and provides an in-depth overview of the Europeana APIs, the differences between the various APIs, their features and how you can use them.

After completing this course you will understand:

  • What an API is
  • Why Europeana has several different APIs
  • What the differences between them are
  • How to use the Europeana APIs
  • How to get an API key
  • How to use the Swagger console to try out API requests
  • What options the different APIs have, and how to use them

In this instructor-led training you will have the opportunity to ask questions to the experts, and course developers, Maike Dulk and Jolan Wuyts. You will also have the opportunity to discuss how you can use the APIs for your specific use cases.

This event will take place at 10:00am CEST.

Please note that this is a participatory course. You are expected to attend the whole session online through Zoom and to interact with the trainer and other participants throughout. The course will be run through Zoom and use digital tools.
