At this webinar, Yannick Sluyts of KU Leuven will give a general overview on the topic of archaeoacoustics - which seeks to understand and present how sound impacted people, spaces and lives in the past. He will present the interdisciplinary challenges that this field of research encounters and dive into several case studies including the Great Hall at the Palace of Binche, St. Stephen Walbrook in London and a fascinating bonus, explain how the different characters of wall tapestries impact the sound of spaces.
