The CrowdHeritage project aims to develop an effective web platform to encourage people to help enrich and validate selected cultural heritage metadata - a crucial concern for domain, thematic and national aggregators. In this post, the CrowdHeritage team give us an update on the platform and the project.

Running from September 2017-February 2019, the Rise of Literacy in Europe Generic Service project explored the use of written text in European culture from the 6th to the 20th century to tell the story of literacy in Europe. Europeana Common Culture contributed to the development of a harmonised and sustainable data aggregation infrastructure in Europe, improved data quality and encouraged engagement with cultural heritage through the Europeana website.
