Share your reuse project to shape better reuse policies in Europe!

Do you use the collections made available through the Europeana website or any other digital cultural heritage material in an innovative way? Then this is your chance to share and showcase it! The European Commission Expert Group on the common European data space for cultural Heritage (CEDCHE) is gathering examples of reuse scenarios of cultural data - take the survey now.

The CEDCHE Group is a forum for cooperation on digitisation, conservation and preservation of cultural heritage between the European Commission, European Union Member States and UNESCO. As part of their work, the group is now collecting examples to map reuse projects - from using 3D models for AR and VR experiences in tourism to creative reuse for artistic purposes. Submitted projects can involve cultural heritage institutions, professionals, governments and any other actors.

The survey will also collect publications and research on the topic of reuse of cultural heritage data. The collected evidence will be used to inform future strategic advice on how to foster reuse of data across different sectors.

Find out more and complete the survey by 20 August 2023.

More about our work on reuse

At the Europeana Initiative, as we deploy the common European data space for cultural heritage, we are committed to fostering the reuse of heritage data within our sector and beyond. We continue to do this in many ways - from supporting the upskilling of heritage professionals in making high-value datasets available for reuse, to learning more about our reuse audiences.

Through our newly-launched campaign, Twin it! 3D for Europe’s culture, we are also encouraging Member States of the European Union to step-up their 3D digitisation efforts to foster reuse, creativity and innovation in and across sectors - from education and research to tourism.
