Help the International Rights Statement Working Group develop RightsStatements.org

Over the past year, the International Rights Statement Working Group has worked on defining legal and technical requirements for a series of standardized rights statements to be used by Europeana, the Digital Public Library of America and similar digital heritage aggregators. Alongside the Europeana Foundation and the DPLA, the group notably includes Europeana Network members BnL, IvIR and Kennisland.

Last week, the working group finalised a request for proposals for individual and companies to help us develop the infrastructure behind the future rightsstatements.org service.

This service will serve both human-readable and machine-exploitable descriptions of the various rights statements formalised by the group, following the best practices of Linked Data technology.

Read our request for proposals, including all relevant instructions for expressing your interest.

We look forward to receiving your proposals!
