"I got my Ph. D. from Art History Institute, Cologne University, Germany. I'm now full professor of art history and cultural history at National Taiwan University. My research areas are Renaissance and Reformation studies as well as modern and contemporary German history.
In Taiwan, I am a public intellectual. I was the founder of a blog forum for public history. Currently, I am engaged with some projects of transitional justice for Taiwan (monuments and museum, establishment of the dialogue database for the transitional justice, return of the illegal party properties)."
