I am a Research Fellow at the Horizon Digital Economy Institute, University of Nottingham. My research focuses on digital culture and learning innovation, specifically on the role of media and technologies in participatory frameworks such as online and on-site communities of practice and crowdsourcing. I am investigating what I call ‘participatory heritage’ by regularly collaborating with cultural institutions and by experimenting innovative forms of public engagement with archival resources and online collections. Among others, I worked with Tate on ArtMaps, a crowdsourcing platform, and I am currently working with the Theatre Royal Nottingham on a pilot project on Citizen Scholarship.
