Curator of public programs Ministry of Culture/Archaeological Museum Of Patras Greece Cultural Heritage

Georgia Manolopoulou born in 1978, in Athens/Greece, has a background in Philosophy and Psychology (University of Athens/Faculty of Philosophy) and is actively engaged in Cultural Heritage through her work experience in the Ministry of Culture and via a Master Course (MA) followed at the University of Athens / Faculty of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Graduate Program "Museum Studies" with the collaboration of Department of History and Archeology, Department of Geology and Conservation of Cultural Heritage. Owner of Scholarship IKY / Grundtvig European Program-The Learning Museum Project at the University of Manchester Museum and a Fellow of NEON Curatorial Exchange Program at the Whitechapel Gallery in London.
During the last ten years she has been working at the Ministry of Culture as a curator of Public Engagement at the Archaeological Museum of Patras, responsible for communication and educational activities, exhibitions and cultural tales on archaeological sites of Western Greece Region.
She has also been elected as a member of the Board of “diazoma”, a movement of people sharing the same passion for the Cultural Heritage and whose mission is to help, protect, restore and promote monuments especially ancient theatres.
She has participated in conferences, workshops, seminars on Cultural Heritage Management, while she is an author of articles in Greek and English.
She speaks English and Italian fluently and has basic knowledge in Spanish and Russian.
