Dr. Gabriele Aroni is Senior Lecturer in Game Arts at the School of Digital Arts of Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. Trained as an architect, he pursued his studies in digital media and communication. His research is situated at the intersection of architecture, digital heritage, game studies, and semiotics, and his publications space from architectural history to the aesthetics of digital games and copyright law. He is the author of “The Semiotics of Architecture in Video Games” (Bloomsbury, 2022) and “Gli ordini architettonici di San Lorenzo a Firenze” (Mimesis, 2016).
