Stamps and seals from the Lithuanian Art Museum

Take a look at the emblems of institutions (such as personal coat of arms of rulers and ecclesiastical authorities) and learn how documents used to be marked to demonstrate their authenticity.

Over 800 historical stamps and seals (emblems) from the 16th- to the 20th century. Browse through a collection that includes stamps of several designs and shapes, made out of different materials – for instance, wood, bronze, metal or even marble and quartz crystal. The collection also contains official seals imprinted in wax.
