Engravings of Dioscorides collection. The Dioscorides Digital Library Catalogue gathers more than 3,100 full text books, as well as an engravings database, indexed according to the subject of the illustrations: 50,000 engravings have been made available online.
The UCM Library created the Dioscorides Digital Library with the aim to digitise and provide access to a selection of works from its historical collection of biomedical books. One of the special functions of the retrieval of information is the ability of direct access to the illustration of a book by author, subject or dates.
