Creative Commons for cultural heritage

This presentation explores why copyright is important in making sure you can best share your collections online. It focuses on creative commons licenses, and how you can use these as a cultural heritage professional.

About

This video guide was created collaboratively with Network members. It was designed for Europeana aggregators to use it as a template for their own presentations about managing copyright in the Cultural Heritage sector, to help influence their organisation's decision makers and explain the importance of copyright when managing and sharing cultural content. It covers standards of best practice for labelling digital objects, such as Creative Commons. Europeana now works with additional tools including rights statements.

This video was created in 2016.
