Collection of Documents of the Bulgarian Historical Archive

These documents give a wide variety of information about the life and work of prominent cultural, social and state figures of the period. On one hand, the collection reflects the struggle of the Bulgarian people for establishing an independent national church. On the other hand those documents are a major source of information about the National Liberation Revolutionary movement.

They also offer an unique picture of the Bulgarian history after the Liberation (1878), showing the process of the Bulgarian economic development and the process of re-establishing the Bulgarian state.
