26 fantastic candidates came forward in this year’s elections, and our Network Association members chose eight of them to fill open seats in our Members Council between 6 and 14 December.

I’m happy to announce that 26 candidates came forward in this year’s Europeana Network Association elections. We now invite our 1,382 Network Association members to vote from 6 December to 14 December at 23:59 CET.

I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the Europeana Network Association’s 2016 elections campaign. Forty-eight candidates stepped forward, and 1,526 Network Association members are invited to vote from November 8 to November 14 at 23:59CET.
As you might have seen in previous blogs and newsletters, the Europeana network has been evolving and is now an Association; this means it is more transparent and democratic. It also means that its members can elect the people that speak and make decisions on their behalf.
The Network Association elects a Members Council every year and this year we have 30 councillors in total. All of them play a critical role across Europeana’s activities, from prioritising issues in the Business Plan, to setting the agenda for our annual conference.
