In this dataset you can find Egyptian papyrus fragments currently held at the Universitätsbibliothek Heidelberg. The fragments are part of the Heidelberger Papyrussammlung, one of the largest papyrus collections in Germany. This entire collection has been made available to Europeana with the IIIF resources of the objects.
The National Library of Malta possesses a small but interesting collection of sixty incunabula, among them Ptolemy’s Cosmographia (Rome, 1490) which contains an engraved map of the Mediterranean showing Malta in the centre.
Collection of 2,470 images of Greek manuscripts which includes not only texts and illuminated manuscripts from the Byzantine empire and Renaissance Italy, but also an important accumulation of papyri from the ancient world.
