Karin Rebel

Karin Rebel is an Associate Professor Environmental Sciences at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at the Faculty of Geosciences, and a Senior Fellow at the Center for Academic Teaching, both at Utrecht University, The Netherlands. Karin holds a PhD on Environmental Information Science from Cornell University, USA. She currently combines her research on global change and natural ecosystems with innovative sustainability education. Specifically, she is interested in interdisciplinary and inter-university education, and in enhancing digital education, using methods like flipping the classroom, long distance learning, and also the use of gaming.
