Gaël CHENARD is a heritage curator, director of the Archives départementales de la Vienne since 2017. A graduate of the Ecole nationale des chartes (2008) and the Institut national du patrimoine (2009), he also has a PhD in medieval history (University of Poitiers).

Previously director of the Archives départementales des Hautes-Alpes (2009-2017), he is particularly interested in making archival data available on the internet.
