Europeana is one of the European Union’s Digital Service Infrastructures (DSI). The EU has several of them, others include safer internet for children, electronic health services, and business management. Here, you can find out about the activities and challenges we're working on right now as a Digital Service Infrastructure for culture as well as some of our achievements from the last year.

As part of our annual event we make it a point to recognise those whose contribution to the Europeana movement sometimes goes under the radar. There is no praise comparable to that of your peers, so in 2019 we are again asking you to nominate your unsung heroes who have gone above and beyond expectations for the cause of Europeana and digital transformation of cultural heritage.
The 2019 research event grants aim is to bring together cultural heritage professionals and researchers interested in digital cultural heritage. There is €25,000 available to support the Europeana Research Grants Programme.
After a first successful edition last year, we are happy to announce the rerun of the Europeana in your classroom MOOC, which aims to build upon teachers’ knowledge of European cultural heritage and introduce them to new concepts such as project-based learning or STEAM.
