While cultural tourism has been badly affected by the COVID-19 crisis, cultural heritage continues to act as inspiration for individuals across Europe to explore the continent’s history, sites and art. In the recently finalised Europeana Media project, co-funded under European Commission’s CEF Generic Services scheme, partners Istituto LUCE, Sound and Vision, the Europeana Foundation, TIB, Noterik and ATiT worked together to provide a novel, open source universal audiovisual player on Europeana collections.
This Task Force aims to follow on the developments of the Task Force Audiovisual Media in Europeana and further investigate audiovisual playout possibility and capabilities for Europeana Foundation and content providers based on new international developments and standards.
