This session from Europeana 2020 explores the context of the Declaration and asks for feedback from participants on the "New areas of focus" in the Declaration.
This session is divided into two parts. In the first part, Dr. Andrea Wallace explains the background of the research paper available at https://openglam.pubpub.org/ that serves as context for the Declaration, and the need for a new consensus on some important aspects of digitised cultural heritage. The second part focuses on asking feedback from participants on the "New areas of focus" of the Declaration, that include aspects related to achieving some consensus on digital reproductions of public domain works, accessibility, decolonisation & Indigenisation, Intangible Cultural Heritage and GLAM-Generated intellectual property, among others.
