A New Open GLAM Program at Creative Commons

This workshop from Europeana 2021 explores Creative Commons’ Open GLAM Program, which will build a coordinated global effort to help GLAMs make the content they steward openly available.

About

Making collections as openly accessible, shareable and reusable as possible is a great way for GLAMs to achieve their missions around public access as they digitise and offer their collections online. But only a tiny fraction of the world’s GLAMs share their collections through open access initiatives, as they can face a host of barriers to embracing open access.

Creative Commons works to help GLAMs overcome these barriers, to unlock universal access to knowledge and culture. Watch this workshop to find out more about their new Open GLAM Program, which will build a coordinated global effort to help GLAMs make the content they steward openly available and reusable for the public good.
