Oriental digitised materials from the National Library of Denmark

This collection gathers both rare printed books and manuscripts. Featured in this collection are Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Japanese, Tibetan, Mongolian, Indian and Sinhalese manuscripts and rare printed books from Middle East and North Africa, from Iran, Mongolian prints and rare printed books, Japanese and Chinese rare printed books.

The materials have been selected according to their rarity, calligraphy, historical value and illustrations.

In addition, it offers oriental digitised visual art, for example pictures of Buddhist deities, Chinese shop signs from Beijing in the 1890's, pictures of the 18 Buddhist Luohan's painted on Bo-leaves, pictures of Chinese holy mountains and popular New Year prints from China.
