Italian leafs from the First World War period
This collection gathers 2.241 Italian leafs from the WW1 period. Many of these could be considered homeland propaganda as it was intended to solidify soldiers as well as civilian support of the war in spite of the hardships and the diversion of resources caused to the general population.
Some folios urge wartime thrift, and were vocal in seeking funds from the general public via subscription to various war bond schemes. These documents reflected the government and public attitude at that time and expressed the thoughts and fears, sentiments and emotions of people.
