Hispana

Bringing the best of Spain to a bigger audience

Hispana aggregates content from Spanish libraries, archives and museums and is one of the largest data contributors to Europeana. The institution uses the Europeana API, which means search results within Hispana's search services are complemented with links to Europeana content.

Hispana includes the Digital Library of Bibliographic Heritage (Biblioteca Virtual de Patrimonio Bibliográfico), a joint project of the Ministry of Culture and the Autonomous Communities of Spain. The library’s objective is to digitally disseminate its manuscript collections and printed books – an important part of the Spanish historical heritage.
